Canaan Schools will be adjusting the student drop off and pick-up procedures in response to concerns about student safety starting March 3, 2025. Our new procedures will be:
Student drop off and pick up times will be at 7:35 am and 2:50 pm.
Bus students will be dropped off at 7:30 am and picked up at 2:45 pm. All buses and cars dropping off students will enter the lower parking lot.
Cars will not be allowed in front of the buses. If you arrive early you must wait in the lower parking lot. Do not park at the top of the road where pick up and drop off will be until all the buses have left.
Between the hours of 7:20 am to 8:00 am and 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm, no student drop off or pick up will be allowed in the upper parking lot.
Effective March 3, 2025, parents/guardians will not be allowed in the building without a visitor pass; this has been a major safety concern for our staff and students. There will be no exception to this rule without permission of an administrator or a visitor pass. All of these changes have been discussed with administration, the leadership committees, and at the request of community members.
